SARAH MARSHMAN

MS, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, EMDR Trained Therapist

I believe that every person has a powerful story and I strive to create a safe environment where you can share yours. I work hard to make my clients feel heard and valued. I believe we are all in the process of becoming our most authentic self and I see my role as one of walking beside my clients in that task. As we reflect on the past and learn to live in the present, we can begin to know ourselves more fully. I work together with clients to process through difficult feelings and develop helpful coping strategies.

My approach to counseling is compassionate, genuine, and based on a framework that explores attachment and relational wounds as they affect the present. I know everybody is unique so I work to tailor my approach to your specific goals and needs.

I earned my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Gonzaga University. While working towards my degree, I held an internship at the Spokane Vet Center where I worked with individuals, couples, and families. As a therapist, my concentrations have been in working with PTSD, depression, anxiety, couples, and veterans. Prior to graduate school, I earned my BA in Behavioral Neuroscience from Colgate University.
